Refinishing engineered floors

Engineered wood floors can in most cases be effectively refinished - except those which are hand-scraped or those which are characterised by less than 2mm thickness of the veneer.

What types of finishing works can be applied to engineered floors?

In most cases it is possible to effectively change the visual effects of the hardwood boards and their edges. If you require a smooth appearance of the floor surface the best way to do that is to apply the square edge treatment. If some distinction between wooden planks is to be obtained then the choice of micro edges is most suitable. Scraped edges are best for obtaining professionally-handcrafted surfaces while pillowed edges result in effectively contoured plank edges.
